Code For The Kingdom Review

I’m interrupting my regularly scheduled posts to talk about an event that happened this weekend. Leadership Network hosted their second Hackathon in Austin, Texas. I was privileged to attend. It was an excellently planned event in which innovators, programmers, designers, ideators, and leaders of all kinds converged to write code that matters for the Kingdom. My team did amazing work. We didn’t win, and we’re happy about that. The community inspired by this was the real value that came out of it. Beyond that, I definitely feel that our idea and resulting product could use a bit more work.

With that being said, I’d like to share some photos from the weekend. If you’d like more information about this, go to Google+ and look for the Code For The Kingdom community.

(The ability for teams to help each other, despite having a specific winner at the end is an amazing testament to this group of folks.)

They won best use of the LOGOS API. Won $500 from that, plus best new code. They also won 4 free copies of LOGOS. They’re amazing people and totally deserved it!

OK, well that’s it. Amazing weekend. I’m expecting to see some incredible product launches from this.
